    Nigeria announces 213 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 213 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Friday.

    The 213 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 58,062.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 508 patients from isolation centers across the country with one new death reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 51 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 19174.

    • Nigeria announces 125 new coronavirus cases

    Plateau state reported 51 new cases, Federal Capital Territory recorded 29 while Ogun state announced 18 new cases.

    Other states are Ondo-12, Oyo-9, Osun-8, Gombe-7, Ogun-7, Kaduna-5, Enugu-4, Edo-3, Jigawa-3, Kano-3, Benue-1, Delta-1 and Sokoto-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 58,062 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 49,606 discharged and 1,103 deaths.
