    APC NWC approves Victor Giadom’s resignation, names Uzodinma Edo election chairman

    The unfolding drama in the All Progressives Congress has taken a new twist after 15 member of the APC National Working Committee approved the resignation of Victor Giadom who has assumed office as acting national chairman of the party.

    The APC NWC members met after on Wednesday and agreed that national vice chairman South, Senator Abiola Ajimobi resumes office as acting national chairman of the party.

    “The meeting of the National Working Committe held this morning at the National Secretariat of APC and resolved as follows by unanimous decision of 15 members present out of the 20 members of the National Working Committee”

    “The National Vice Chairman South chosen to preside over the NWC meeting by the other 15 members present at the meeting in the absence of the acting National Chairman, Senator Abiola Ajimobi this morning at the national secretariat.

    APC NWC also agreed that Edo primaries election committee be constituted.

    “His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma is chairman of the Committee and Sen. Basiru Ajibola (Senate Spokesman) is Secretary of the Committee.

    The APC NWC also resolved that, “In Rivers state, Rt. Hon. Igo Aguma is new chairman of reconstituted caretaker committee.

    The members also resolved that APC South South will present a replacement to fill the vacant position of APC Deputy National Secretary position made vacant following resignation of Victor Giadom to contest as deputy governor in Rivers state during 2019 general elections.
