President Donald Trump on Friday signed an action to citizens from seven countries from travelling into the US

Families, businesspeople, athletes and tourists from seven countries in the Middle East and Africa found their travel plans — and even their futures — in a state of suspension on Friday after President Trump signed an executive order temporarily barring thousands from obtaining visas to travel to the United States.

The order is expected to freeze almost all travel to the United States by citizens from the Muslim-majority countries of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen for at least 90 days.

Three of those countries are considered sponsors of terrorism (Iran, Sudan and Syria), and three are designated countries of concern (Libya, Somalia and Yemen).

Passport-holders from those countries, who have American visas but are outside the United States, will not be permitted to return.

For this reason, hundreds of thousands of people have taken to Twitter to express their disgust and frustration at Trump’s decision.

Trump wants to ban Muslims to protect Americans from terrorism yet gun violence has killed more people in the US than terrorism?#MuslimBan

Before we establish a #MuslimBan let's establish a ban on all white males that carry out mass shootings. I fear them more than Muslims.

I desperately hope the world knows that most Americans DO NOT support the #MuslimBan It is not what we were built on. It is not who we are.

People will die because of this. If you voted for him, you have blood on your hands. You should be ashamed. End of story. #MuslimBan

If you're silent now bc "it doesn't impact my immediate life," SHAME on you. Yes, I'm talking about you #muslimban #RefugeeBan

You say you're pro-life, well pro-life means all life. You have no humanity as far as i can see. #MuslimBan

Trump signed the #Muslimban in a country where we honor religious freedom, on the same day as Holocaust Remembrance Day.

    Let that sink in..

Trump's office and his exec orders are more than likely being written by Steve Bannon, a Nazi & white supremacist. #MuslimBan
