After seven weeks of coupling up and intense competition, the duo of Rosie and Kachi (Roksie) has emerged as winners of the maiden edition of Ultimate Love, proudly Naija reality television show.

Roksie, announced as the winners during the Grand Finale live show by the show’s hosts, Dakore Egbuson-Akande and Oluwaseun Olaniyan, won N5 million in cash, a sponsored traditional wedding valued at N10 million, a fully furnished home and other prizes after defeating 11 other couples.

Ultimate Love, the first-of-its-kind reality TV show format in Nigeria, offered an opportunity for single male and female strangers in their quest to find long-lasting love and build a relationship as a couple that could culminate in marriage.

Kachi also committed to making a formal marriage proposal to Rosie within 90 days, a key condition to get the ultimate prize.

The winning couple, in addition, also got N150,000 and other items in their portmanteau they got in the Love Pad after playing the Jeopardy game on stage.

IykeResa (Iyke and Theresa) finished as first runner-up (second position). They went home smiling with N300,000 and other items in their portmanteau.

Speaking on the show’s finale, John Ugbe, Managing Director of MultiChoice Nigeria, said: “We are delighted about the traction that Ultimate Love has gained, particularly that it was the first edition. The show was a breath of fresh air for Nigerian and African reality television.
