Former Nigeria Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida popularly known as IBB is not dead, a spokesperson to the former President said on Sunday.
Yemi Saka, a spokesperson to the former military leader said reports in some online news platform and on social media were false.
He said Babangida is very much alive and in good health, “he is hale and hearty” he said in a statement.
“My attention has been drawn to a misinformation in public domain, just as I have been inundated with calls about the purported demise of General General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retd).
“The report is false as General Babangida (retd) is alive, hale and hearty.”
He added that, “The public is hereby advised to disregard such report. Thank you and God Bless you all.”
