A Federal High Court in Abuja will on 29 November 2019 rule in the bail application filed by Faisal, the son of the detained former Chairman, Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Justice Okon Abang gave the date on Friday after taking the arguments from the prosecution and defence in Faisal’s trial for alleged money laundering activities.

Justice Abang directed that defence lawyer, Francis Oronsaye, should reply on the point of law on November 26 this year.

“The matter is also adjourned to November 26 for ruling on the objection and again for continuation of trial,” he said.

The judge directed the prosecution lawyer, Mohammed Abubakar, to submit copies of judicial authorities he cited, to the court on or before the close of work on November 25 this year.

Faisal is being tried on a three-count charge bordering on money laundering.

He is currently being held in police custody at Police Tactical Squad, Asokoro, where he is said to be under further investigation based on the allegation of illegal possession of firearms and resistance of arrest.
