
The Federal Executive Council has approved N27.4 billion for victims of flood disasters and insecurity in 14 states across the country.
Contrary to insinuations by the opposition that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has worsened the poverty situation of Nigerians, the government has once more demonstrated it’s concerned feelings to all Nigerians by way of providing succour aimed at improving their lives.
While N8.5 billion is earmarked for victims of conflicts in Adamawa, Benue, Borno, Plateau, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara states, the victims of 2018 flood ravaged states of Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Delta, Edo, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Rivers, Sokoto and Taraba will get N18.9bn.

The government has commended for it’s magnanimity expressed in support for Nigerians in distress to enable them resettle and resume economic and farming activities in their domains.
