    Abdulrahman Abdulrazak is expected to be named Kwara governor following a clear lead

    The Independent National Electoral Commission has proclaimed Abdulrahman Abdulrazak of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the governor elect of Kwara.

    He scored 331,546 votes to defeat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Razak Atunwa who polled 114,754.

    APC won all 16 local government areas in Kwara State posting a crushing defeat of the candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

    With results from Baruten local council coming in last at the INEC office in Ilorin, Abdulrazak was announced winner of the governorship election.
