Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and his party defeated their closest rival, All Progressives Congress in Kubwa, Federal Capital Territory.

Mr. Buhari appears to be coasting to victory but results from some polling units in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital will provide some respite for the opposition party.

In Kubwa, an outskirt of Abuja, Mr. Abubakar enjoyed decent lead.

At PU 002, Byazhin Junction, the PDP candidate crushed his APC opponent by 126 votes to 17.
