Okeowo in an interview on chat show On The Couch anchored by Laila Johnson Talabi and Falz where he discussed his presidential ambition and his plans if he was elected in 2019.

Subsequently, he was asked what other things Nigeria could manufacture outside of agriculture and his answer was appalling to many people who saw the video afterwards.

Okeowo said, “We are black people, there is nothing we can produce”, “We are not wired technologically.”

But his response did not go down well with many people who found his answer rather belittling.

finally got to watch the full video on YouTube today and I’m really sad! olasubomi okeowo needs to take a seat pls. all of these from a presidential aspirant. Like @kemiadetiba said, I’ll love to know his thoughts on the role of women in the society.

This presidential aspirant olasubomi okeowo is a scam oo. Man doesn’t show shit. Watched his interview and he kept talking crap with confidence.

BREAKING: Presidential aspirant Olasubomi Okeowo, of the ADC, whose interview with @falzthebahdguy and @ljsonline_ is currently going viral, has pulled out. Of the presidential race.

According to news reports quoting his Instagram Page.

This is the most embarrassing statement I have heard in recent time.

This Olasubomi Okeowo guy is just a joke.

He is so far from reality to eye the number one seat in Nigeria.

People like “Olasubomi Okeowo” know that they don’t have any chance of being a president they just want to add the tittle of “Former presidential aspirant” to their C.V
