Abba Atiku Abubakar, the son of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has promised 10 buses to help mobilize support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in the run-up to the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement from Yusi Buba, the party’s Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization, to the Deputy National Chairman, Abba made the pledge on Friday during a visit to the All Progressives Congress National Secretariat in Abuja.
During the visit, he was received by the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Bukar Dalori.
Buba said Abba praised the party’s leadership and Tinubu’s administration, voicing his support for the president’s continued stay in office.
“In a demonstration of his commitment to the political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Abba Atiku Abubakar announced the donation of ten buses to support activities aimed at mobilizing support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027,” the statement said.
The APC aide stated that Dalori received Abba warmly and recognized his pledge of 10 buses as backing for the party’s mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
This came after Abba announced a nationwide mobilization plan for Tinubu’s re-election and unveiled the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation, a political support platform.
During a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Abba said the organization would kick off its activities in the Federal Capital Territory before extending to other parts of the country.
He also revealed plans for a two-million-man mobilization march across the six geopolitical zones, starting in Abuja.
In January, Abba had defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC, declaring his support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
Atiku, Abba’s father, is the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress for the 2027 general election.
