Popular social media influencer Tunde Ednut has called on Nigerians to vote out President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement shared on his social media page on Wednesday, Tunde Ednut stated that Nigeria’s situation calls for fresh hands to take over its affairs.
He noted that with Tinubu at the helm of affairs, “lawlessness is becoming normal” in the country.
The social media influencer also mentioned that a vast majority of Nigerians are becoming frustrated with the All Progressives Congress-led federal government.
He called on Nigerians to vote out Tinubu and his allies, arguing that “many people strongly supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu are doing so because of personal interests, political interests, or tribal loyalty.”
He mentioned that “Nigeria needs to go back on the right track,” while threatening to wash his hands of Nigerian politics if Tinubu returns elected.
His statement reads, “I am begging every Nigerian with a good heart reading this tonight; please do everything possible to make sure President Bola Tinubu does not return for a second term.
“Look at the direction the country is going. Lawlessness is becoming normal, people are frustrated, and there are serious controversies surrounding many people in government. Do we really want another four years of this?”
“In my opinion, many people strongly supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu are doing so because of personal interests, political interests, or tribal loyalty.
“Please protect your country. Think about the future of Nigeria, not tribe, religion, friendship, or personal benefit. Nigeria needs to get back on the right track because this is not the direction I believe our country should be going.
“I wish every Nigerian the very best in the next election.
“If Tinubu wins another term, I will completely remove myself from conversations about Nigerian politics.
“God bless Nigeria, and God bless you all.”
Tinubu is vying for a second term as the president of Nigeria.
His main challengers for the top Nigerian job are former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress and former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi.
