MTN Nigeria has announced a network outage affecting some of its customers in Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, Delta states, and the Federal Capital Territory.
The telecommunications giant revealed this in a statement posted on its X account on Thursday.
MTN stated that customers in the affected areas might be unable to access some of its services due to the network challenges.
“Network Outage Alert! We’re experiencing network challenges in some parts of Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, FCT, and Delta States, and our services may be temporarily unavailable as a result.
“Our engineers are working to restore services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” the company said.
In another update, MTN apologized to affected customers and reiterated that its engineers were working to resolve the problem.
“Dear Customer, We are aware some of our customers are having challenges using our services. Our engineers are working to restore services as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience,” it added.
The company did not reveal the cause of the outage or provide a specific timeline for the restoration of services.
