Harry Kane marked his record-tying 125th England appearance with two goals as England eased to a Uefa Nations League win over the Czech Republic at Wembley.
On the night he matched Peter Shilton, Kane reached a remarkable 91 goals for England—and he is now well on track to become the first player to hit a century for his country.
England followed up their win over the Czech Republic in Prague and the superb 7-0 triumph in Croatia with another convincing performance that delighted head coach Thomas Tuchel and the home crowd.
Kane played a part in England’s opener on 27 minutes, when his cross was turned into his own net by former West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal.
The goal Kane and Wembley had been waiting for arrived five minutes before half-time, with England’s captain applying a simple close-range finish to Morgan Rogers’ superb first-time delivery.
Kane struck again at 57 minutes, rising at the far post to head in Lewis Hall’s corner.
Kane left the pitch to a fully deserved standing ovation as Dominic Calvert-Lewin replaced him in the closing minutes.
England’s Uefa Nations League campaign may have begun with a defeat by World Cup holders Spain at Wembley, but three wins in a row, all convincingly achieved, suggested progress and reasons for optimism.
In fact, it could have been four wins from four had Kane converted the penalty that would have put England 3-1 ahead against Spain before they lost 3-2, yet head coach Tuchel will have been very pleased with what he has seen since.

Spain comeback to beat 10-man Croatia 2-1
England, after their 7-0 win in Croatia, looked dangerous once more against the Czechs at Wembley, even though Eberechi Eze did not make the most of his chance with in-form Anthony Gordon rested.
Tuchel’s attack now looks settled, led by captain Harry Kane, with Gordon and Bukayo Saka on either side and Jude Bellingham showing his world-class quality in the number 10 role.
Trent Alexander-Arnold seized his opportunity at right-back after Tuchel recalled him following his World Cup omission, appearing solid in defense—though not under great pressure—while adding another dimension in attack.
Newcastle United’s Hall now has a strong case to be first-choice left-back, while Jarell Quansah impressed with his versatility at right-back and then in central defense against the Czechs, securing his status as a key member of Tuchel’s squad.
England meets Croatia next in November before their biggest test, away to Spain, but they have a foundation to build on.
And it was fitting that Kane marked the night he equalled that caps record with two goals, rounding off a satisfying international break for Tuchel and England.
