Plateau state cleric Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, who has repeatedly spoken out over killings in the state, has travelled to Israel for what he described as his first international Christian advocacy tour.
Dachomo made this known in a Facebook post on Friday, stating that he was in Israel to pray for Nigeria, its leaders, and the nation’s people.
“Today, I am in Israel, praying for Nigeria, our leaders, and our people. I believe in miracles, and I believe that God can change what seems impossible,” he wrote.
The cleric also stated that he was joining his faith with that of Nigerians and prayed for those seeking divine intervention in their lives.
He said, “Within the next four days, may God open doors, bring healing, provide help, restore hope, and answer your heart’s desires according to His perfect will.”
In a video shared with the message, Dachomo stated that he had likewise prayed for Israel, its people, and its leaders.
Dachomo also offered prayers for President Bola Tinubu, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, and other African leaders.
“Praying for my government, Bola Tinubu. Praying for my governor, Mutfwang in Plateau State, and praying, let God give them victory, Taraba. African nations, South Africa, we are praying for Ghana and the rest of the countries that are in Africa,” he said.
The cleric stated that he was “standing in the gap” and prayed against what he described as Satan’s influence in leadership.
“Whatever Satan has planted in the leadership, be uprooted, according to Matthew 15, verse 13,” he said.
Dachomo has been a leading voice in raising concerns about attacks on communities in Plateau State and has in the past urged greater international attention to the killings there.
He claimed nine members of his extended family were killed in an attack on communities in Riyom Local Government Area in July 2026.
He had also claimed that he received threats to his life after publicly discussing the attacks in Plateau.
In his most recent post, Dachomo did not provide details about how long his Israel trip lasted or name the organizations behind the advocacy tour.
