Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will not be making a summer move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports.
Rashford’s future has been a source of speculation since he returned to Manchester United after his loan spell at Barcelona expired, with rumors indicating that Al Nassr was interested in signing the England international.
However, speaking on his YouTube channel on Wednesday, Romano denied the rumors.
“In the last 24 hours on social media, there have been many rumors about Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, the champions of Saudi Arabia, trying to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. Guys, let me clarify one thing,” Romano said.
According to the Italian transfer expert, Rashford is not considering a move to Saudi Arabia and would only leave Old Trafford if a big European team made an appropriate offer.
He stated, “According to my information, Rashford is not leaving Manchester United this summer, in case there are proposals that are coming from these kinds of countries.
“Marcus Rashford would eventually only leave Man United if a top European club arrived and put big money on the table for Man United, because you still need to agree with Man Utd. The release clause is no longer valid.”
Rashford’s future has been the subject of considerable speculation during the transfer window, but Romano’s latest statements indicate that the 28-year-old is more interested in staying at Manchester United or joining another elite European club than moving to the Saudi Pro League.
