Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr have appointed former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach on a two-year contract.
The club confirmed the appointment on Friday via its official social media accounts, stating: “It’s official.” Mr. Ange Postecoglou is the new head coach of Al Nassr. He signed a two-season contract. “Hello, Gaffer!”
Postecoglou succeeds Jorge Jesus, who resigned at the end of the title-winning season, and takes charge of an Al Nassr side led by Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo as the club seeks local and European trophies.
Since Ronaldo’s arrival in late 2022, Al Nassr has been one of the largest spenders in Saudi football, adding several high-profile foreign stars to their roster as they look to dominate the Saudi Pro League and compete for the AFC Champions League Elite title.
The 60-year-old has been without a coaching job since being sacked by Nottingham Forest in October after 40 days in charge, failing to win any of his eight matches.
His stint followed his departure from Tottenham Hotspur, where he won the 2025 UEFA Europa League before being dismissed after the club finished 17th in the Premier League.
Postecoglou is set to begin preparations immediately for the next campaign as Al Nassr seeks further silverware under their new boss.
