Marcus Rashford scored as Barcelona aim to secure their second consecutive La Liga title with a win against Getafe.
The on-loan Manchester United forward completed a sweeping counterattack in the second half as Hansi Flick’s side capitalized on Real Madrid’s unexpected 1-1 draw with Real Betis on Friday night.
Barcelona now leads their rivals by 11 points, with both clubs having five games remaining as they aim for their 29th title.
Fermin Lopez opened the scoring in the 45th minute after being set up by Pedri’s excellent pass.
Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal suffered a hamstring injury in Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Celta Vigo, leaving Yamal on the bench until he replaced Roony Bardghji on the hour mark.
Getafe, who are aiming for European places, pushed forward in the second half to find an equalizer.
However, Rashford sealed the victory with his seventh La Liga goal, which came after Robert Lewandowski threw a pass over the top for him to race on to with the home team caught up on the pitch.
The England international picked up the ball in his own half, but with only Getafe goalkeeper David Soria in front of him, he remained calm to seal the victory.
