American rapper Offset has been hospitalised after being injured in a shooting outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Florida on Monday evening.
The 34-year-old artiste, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was reportedly shot in a valet area before being rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.
A representative confirmed that the rapper is in stable condition and receiving medical care.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” the spokesperson said.
Police authorities said the incident occurred shortly after 7pm and involved non-life-threatening injuries. Officers responded swiftly, secured the scene, and detained two individuals in connection with the shooting.
“The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal,” the police added.
Offset rose to global fame as a member of the hip-hop trio Migos, alongside Quavo and Takeoff. The group became one of the defining acts of the 2010s.
The incident comes years after tragedy struck the group when Takeoff was fatally shot outside a Houston bowling alley in November 2022. A suspect, Patrick Xavier Clark, was later indicted and is expected to stand trial in November 2026.
Offset is also widely known for his high-profile relationship with Cardi B, from whom he is currently estranged.
