Terrorists have reportedly killed one victim, injuring several others during a fresh attack in Plateau State.
According to reports, the terrorists, in the late hours of Thursday, invaded the Heipang community, which hosts the Plateau State Polytechnic.
Chronicle NG gathered that the vigilantes were on hand to repel the attack; however, a lady was killed during the raid.
Confirming the incident, a member of the community, Grace Nerat, in a statement on Facebook, stated that the Heipang community has been relatively peaceful for a long time.
She said, “For the first time in a long while, my area was attacked. Sadly, a lady was killed.”
The attack comes amid the recent chaos that occurred in Jos, the Plateau state capital, following the relaxation of the 48-hour curfew imposed by the state government.
Chronicle NG reports that there were reprisal attacks in various areas of the state capital after the state government relaxed the curfew, a development that led to the loss of many lives, with many injured.
The curfew was imposed following the Palm Sunday attack in Angwan Rukuba which resulted in the deaths of over 28 people.
