The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has opened the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its upcoming Ward, Local Government, State Congresses, and National Convention.
ADC encourages interested party members to purchase the necessary forms to run for any elective post within the party.
The news was delivered in a memo signed by the party’s National Organizing Secretary, Pa Idigo, and distributed through X on Sunday.
The cost of the forms varies according to rank.
At the ward level, the Expression of Interest Form is N2,000, while nomination fees are N10,000 for Ward Chairman, N5,000 for Ward Secretary, and N3,000 for other ward positions.
Forms for LGA Chairman, Secretary, and other LGA officers cost N40,000, N30,000, and N10,000, respectively.
The state chairman’s forms cost N500,000, the state secretary’s forms cost N300,000, while the forms for other state authorities cost N50,000.
The nomination price for the National Convention is N10,000 per delegate, with each LGA sending one delegate.
The announcement further stated that each aspirant must secure the required number of nominators, with each nominator paying a non-refundable charge of N50.
Candidates for ward chairman must have ten nominators, while other ward officers require five apiece.
At the LG level, chairman candidates must get 20 nominators from across the local government area, while other LGA offices must secure 10 each.
State Chairman candidates must acquire 50 nominations from across the state, with at least one from each LGA, while other state positions require 20 nominators apiece.
“The sale and submission of the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will close on Friday, 27th March 2026. No late submissions will be accepted.
“Screening is scheduled for 30th to 31st March 2026. All aspirants are advised to comply strictly with these guidelines and the published guidelines for the congresses,” the notice added.
This follows the recent release of the ADC’s timetable for the 2026 congresses.
According to Idigo, polling unit and ward congresses will take place on April 7, local government area congresses on April 9, and state congresses on April 11.
The process will culminate at the party’s National Convention, which is set for April 14.
