Santos FC forward Neymar Jr. has expressed his unhappiness at being left out of Brazil’s national team selection, stating that he is unhappy and saddened by the decision.
The ex-Barcelona and PSG forward, who has been working his way back into peak shape, posted an emotional message about the setback.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s post on X on Tuesday, despite the absence, Neymar stated that his focus remains intact, emphasizing his dedication to developing with each training session and match.
“I’m upset and sad about not being called up. But the focus remains day after day, training after training, game after game.
“We’re going to achieve our goal. There’s still one final call-up left, and the dream lives on. That’s it, we’re in this together,” Neymar said in a post shared by Romano.
The omission is largely due to his recent predicament; Neymar has been suffering with injuries and a lengthy recuperation period, which have hampered his playing time and general sharpness.
As a result, Brazil’s coaching staff has chosen to rely on players who are fully healthy and in consistent form.
