    Diddy closer to prison release

Donald Trump is reportedly considering a presidential pardon for Sean "Diddy" Combs as part of a new round of clemency reviews.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ release date has been brought forward by six weeks as the disgraced music mogul continues his appeal against a four-year prison sentence.

According to records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons cited by Page Six, Sean Diddy Combs’ release date has been revised from 4 June 2028 to 25 April 2028.

The adjustment follows his acceptance into the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) in November. Participation in the rehabilitation scheme can qualify federal inmates for sentence reductions.

A spokesperson for Combs previously confirmed his enrolment in the programme, describing him as “fully engaged” and committed to rehabilitation.

    Previous Sentence Adjustment

This is not the first time Sean Diddy Combs’ release date has changed.

In November 2025, prison authorities extended his projected release from 8 May 2028 to 4 June 2028 after he reportedly violated several prison rules.

    • Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sentenced to over four years in prison

The latest revision comes as the rapper pursues an appeal challenging both his conviction and sentence.

    Ongoing Appeal Battle

In December, Combs formally appealed his conviction, asking the court to either overturn the ruling or reduce his four-year term. Prosecutors opposed the appeal in February, urging the court to uphold the sentence.

Combs was arrested in September 2024 after more than 120 accusers, including a minor, levelled allegations ranging from kidnapping and blackmail to abuse and prostitution-related offences.

In October, he was sentenced to more than four years in prison by Judge Arun Subramanian at a New York court after being convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution.

    Prison Transfer and Pardon Bid

Combs was initially held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn before being transferred in late October 2025 to FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Jersey.

His legal team also sought a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. While Trump reportedly considered the possibility, he ultimately declined to grant clemency in January.

Despite the modest reduction in his release date, Combs remains behind bars as his appeal moves through the courts.
