The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has charged Samuel Ojeogwu, brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, with criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh stated that this follows a petition received by the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025, against Ojeogwu and three others.

She said, “On 28th October 2025, the FCT Metro Area Command received a petition against one Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu and three others, alleging criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.”

According to her, Ojeogwu ignored repeated police invitations before being detained in Lagos and transported to Abuja for investigation.

Following receipt of the petition, the Metro Area Command offered repeated invitations to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu for questioning, which were not accepted.

“Mr. Ojeogwu was arrested in Lagos on the authority of a duly issued arrest warrant from a competent court and subsequently conveyed to Abuja for further investigation,” Adeh said.

According to the police spokesperson, when the investigation was completed, Ojeogwu was charged before a competent court in Abuja on November 6, 2025.

Following the end of the investigations, the suspect was charged in court on November 6, 2025, with criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft.

“He has been remanded by the court pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions,” Adeh stated.

She emphasized the command’s commitment to professionalism and respect for the law, saying, “The FCT Police Command remains committed to professional policing, due process, and the rule of law.”

The development comes amid rising family tensions involving Regina Daniels, who recently broke down in a viral video about her brother’s arrest.

In the video, she sobs excessively, stating, “I will go back,” as she expresses her sorrow over her family’s difficulties.

Her outburst came after weeks of allegations of marital problems with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, whom she accused of domestic assault in a prior social media post, adding.

Nwoko, on the other hand, refuted the charges and blamed her actions on alleged drug and alcohol misuse. He added that Regina’s “current battle with substance abuse” had put strain on their marriage and requested she undergo therapy.

Amid the public discussions, Regina hailed the reconciliation of her separated parents, adding that her mother and father, who had been away for years, rejoined in the wake of her personal and familial crises, especially her brother’s detention.
