    Ambode appoints five new Permanent Secretaries

    Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has appointed five permanent secretaries

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries in the State Public Service.

    In a statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, the Governor said the appointments were in line with his administration’s drive to continue to reposition the civil service for efficient performance and service delivery.

    The names of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Mrs. Clara Olutoyin Ibirogba; Mr. Timothy Olukayode Ogunnubi; Dr. (Mrs) Iyabo Suwebat Are; Dr. Taiwo Olufemi Salaam and Mrs. Kofoworola Omotayo Awobamise.

    The appointments take immediate effect.

    On Thursday 2 November, Governor Ambode appointed Mrs. Folasade Sidikatu Adesoye as the 20th Head of Service (HOS) in the State.

    The new HOS was first appointed into the Lagos State Civil Service on December 28, 1983 as an Accountant and has served in several ministries.

    She was elevated into the Body of Permanent Secretaries in 2010 and was deployed to the Civil Service Pensions Office where she served till August 2015 when she was deployed to the Office of Local Government Establishment, Training and Pensions Office. In 2016, she was asked to serve in the same capacity as Permanent Secretary, Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

    Until her appointment, she was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

    Governor Ambode thanked the outgoing HOS, Mrs. Ademola for her meritorious service to the State and wished her well in her future endeavours.
