Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, has canceled her Instagram account days following the death of her younger sister, Ruth Otabor.
Phyna’s handle was no longer available on Tuesday, causing alarm among followers and celebrities. Ruth’s death was confirmed by the family in a statement made on Sunday by Eko Solicitors & Advocates, which stated that she died at approximately 6:30 a.m.
Ruth was injured in an accident on August 13 when a Dangote Group truck crushed her at Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State. The incident resulted in severe leg damage that required an amputation.
According to eyewitnesses, a bystander was able to stop the heavy-duty truck following the impact.
The tragedy occurred just six days after Ruth graduated from Auchi Polytechnic, plunging the Otabor family into grief and generating enormous compassion from followers of the reality star.
