Olivea Lawson, a young Nigerian visual artist popularly known as Holiveah, has launched an ambitious attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest painting marathon.

The Paint-A-Thon, which commenced on July 21, 2025, is set to run non-stop until July 27, drawing significant attention from art lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and supporters across Nigeria and beyond.

Olivea Lawson, who hails from Bonny Island in Rivers State, is not only showcasing her talent but also making a powerful statement about empowerment through the arts.

“This is about empowering youth, especially women, and showing that with talent and consistency, we can achieve global recognition,” she stated.

While the event is centered on breaking a world record, it also doubles as a cultural celebration. The artworks being created throughout the marathon focus on powerful themes such as hope, resilience, and African pride.

The Paint-A-Thon has begun attracting wide support, turning into a rallying point for young creatives and a showcase of Nigeria’s rich artistic heritage.
