The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has announced the disbursement of N1.82 trillion to the federal, state, and local governments as allocation for June 2025.

This represents an increase of N170 billion from the N1.65 trillion shared in May.

In a statement signed by Bawa Mokwa, director of press at the office of the accountant-general of the federation (OAGF), the figure was announced in a communiqué issued at the end of FAAC’s July 2025 meeting.

The ministry said the N1.82 trillion total distributable revenue comprised distributable statutory revenue of N1.01 trillion, value added tax (VAT) revenue of N631.507 billion and electronic money transfer levy (EMTL) revenue of N29.165 billion, exchange difference revenue of N38.84 billion, and a N100 billion augmentation from non-mineral revenue.

“A communiqué issued by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) indicated that total gross revenue of N4.232 trillion was available in the month of June 2025,” the statement reads.

“Total deduction for cost of collection was N162.786 billion while total transfers, interventions, refunds and savings was N2.25 trillion.”

According to the communiqué, gross statutory revenue for June 2025 was N3.49 trillion — higher than the N2.09 trillion recorded in May by N1.39 trillion.

Gross VAT revenue in June stood at N678.17 billion, representing a decline of N64.65 billion from the N742.82 billion generated in May.

From the N1.82 trillion total distributable revenue, the federal government received N645.38 billion, states got N607.42 billion, and local governments received N444.85 billion.

Additionally, N120.76 billion (13 percent of mineral revenue) was shared to oil-producing states as derivation revenue.

“On the N1.018 trillion distributable statutory revenue, the communiqué stated that the Federal Government received N474.455 billion and the State Governments received N240.650 billion,” the statement reads.

“The Local Government Councils received N185.531 billion and the sum of N118.256 billion (13% of mineral revenue) was shared to the benefiting States as derivation revenue.

“From the N631.507 billion distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue, the Federal Government received N94.726 billion, the State Governments received N315.754 billion and the Local Government Councils received N221.027 billion.

“A total sum of N4.375 billion was received by the Federal Government from the N29.165 billion Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).

“The State Governments received N14.582 billion and the Local Government Councils received N10.208 billion.”

On the exchange difference revenue of N38.85 billion, the federal government received N19.14 billion, while states and local governments got N9.71 billion and N7.48 billion, respectively, while N2.50 billion was shared as 13 percent derivation revenue.

In the communiqué, FAAC said that from the N100 billion augmentation, the federal government received N52.68 billion, states received N26.72 billion, and local governments got N20.60 billion.

FAAC noted that in June, revenue from companies income tax (CIT), petroleum profit tax (PPT), and EMTL increased significantly.

However, collections from oil and gas royalties, VAT, import duty, excise duty, and common external tariff (CET) levies recorded a considerable decline.
