Kylian Mbappe has officially withdrawn his moral harassment complaint against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), according to one of his lawyers, Pierre-Olivier Sur.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming Club World Cup semi-final between Real Madrid and PSG, Sur stated, “We are withdrawing our civil action.”

Last month, the Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed it had opened an investigation after Mbappe lodged a complaint about his treatment by PSG at the start of the 2023–24 season.

The France captain alleged he was sidelined from the first team and made to train with players the club intended to offload after he refused to sign a new contract.

Mbappe was excluded from the club’s 2023 pre-season tour of Asia and did not play in the opening game of the season. However, he later returned to the team following discussions with club officials.

This type of treatment has reportedly affected other professional footballers as well, prompting the French players’ union to file a separate complaint last year.

The 26-year-old forward joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 after spending seven seasons with PSG. During his time in Paris, he scored 256 goals in 308 matches. Notably, PSG secured their first-ever UEFA Champions League title after Mbappe’s departure.

Despite dropping the civil complaint, Mbappe remains locked in a legal battle with PSG over €55 million (approximately $64.4 million) in unpaid wages and bonuses, which he claims are still owed to him.
