The Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, has said corrupt public officials who are guilty of corrupt practices must face the full wrath of the law.

Aliyu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) made this statement during a courtesy visit by the management team of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) to the ICPC headquarters in Abuja.

He assured the delegation of the Commission’s support in preventing corruption within government agencies, emphasising that eliminating corruption was vital to ensuring sufficient resources to discharge duties.

Aliyu said the power sector remains vital to Nigeria’s production capacity, saying power infrastructures must be protected against vandals

“No nation can develop without sustainable power supply. Power is essential for an economy to thrive. Power infrastructure belongs to all of us, and we need to ensure that criminals are stopped from vandalizing these assets,” he said.
