The federal government has sent heartfelt greetings to The Gambia’s government and people on the country’s independence anniversary.

This was stated in a statement signed by Kimiebi Ebienfa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, and issued on Tuesday.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, expressed his best wishes to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, Hon. Dr. Mamadou Tangara, in a statement.

The letter congratulated The Gambia on its amazing growth and perseverance since winning independence.

It emphasized the two countries’ longstanding partnership, which is based on mutual respect, similar values, and a joint vision for a united and thriving Africa.

Nigeria underlined its commitment to developing bilateral ties with The Gambia, particularly in response to regional and global concerns.

The statement emphasized Nigeria’s ongoing assistance and expressed optimism about increasing collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

“The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, extends his warmest congratulations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, Hon. Dr Mamadou Tangara, on the joyous occasion of their Independence Anniversary.

“As you commemorate this significant milestone in your nation’s history, we celebrate with you the remarkable progress and resilience that The Gambia has demonstrated over the years.
