Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, has urged Nigerians, particularly Christians, to spread love and charity during this year’s Christmas.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Speaker’s Secretary of Press, Levinus Nwabughiogu, on Tuesday, Kalu underlined the importance of Christmas and urged Nigerians to use the time to exhibit empathy, love, and kindness to one another.

Kalu, who represents Bende Federal Constituency, Abia State, stated that Christmas is a season of hope, renewal, and celebration, reminding mankind of the significance of kindness, compassion, charity, and love.

“As we mark the birth of Jesus Christ, who brought light and redemption to humanity, let us reflect on the values that he embodied: love, forgiveness, and selflessness.

“May His example inspire us to spread love, kindness, and compassion to all those around us, especially those who may be struggling,” Kalu said.

Kalu also voiced trust in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, reassuring Nigerians that the future looks bright.

He exhorted citizens to maintain their faith and continue to pray for the country’s leadership, emphasising that the country would prosper on all fronts in the near future.
