The Minister of Communications, Innovations, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, has condemned the looting of the yet-to-be commissioned Nigeria Communication Commission industrial park in Kano State by protesters.
The minister, in a statement on X on Thursday, lamented over the setting ablaze and looting of the property by hoodlums under the guise of protesting.

The hunger protest that began all over the country today took a sad turn as aggrieved youths broke into the office of the NCC in Kano State, looting valuables.
Goods worth millions of Naira were reportedly looted, as the looters could be seen carting away with laptops, computers, chairs, and other valuables.
Speaking on the incident, Tijani, in a statement on X, said, “Sad to learn that our Digital Innovation Park in Kano, slated for launch next week to support our technical accelerator (3MTT), has been set ablaze and looted by protesters.
“Alongside #3MTT, this building is set to host our buildathon holiday maker programme for secondary school kids starting next week.”
Furthermore, he described the burning and looting of the Industrial Park as “a slight setback for our journey to deepening our workforce for technology while creating job opportunities for the youth.
“Millions down the drain,” he added.
The “hunger protest,” aimed at drawing the attention of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration to certain pressing demands of Nigerians, kicked off on Thursday.
At the time of filing this report, the Kano State police command had yet to comment on the incident.
