The mother of Alex Timileyin, the Ajayi Crowther University student who was beaten to death by his colleagues, is reportedly in a coma.
Her state of health was announced in a statement on Thursday by Lord of Warri, a social media influencer.
According to his statement, Princess Antonia Emiko, the bereaved mother, could not bear the tragic loss of her only son.
As a result, “she lies hospitalised in a coma, overcome with unbearable pain and sorrow.”
Lord of Warri wrote, “Princess Antonia Emiko, mother of the late Prince Alex Timileyin, is in urgent need of your prayers. She lies hospitalised in a coma, overcome with unbearable pain and sorrow.
“The bond between a mother and her child is unbreakable, and her only son’s tragic loss has left her shattered.”
He also appealed to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and the Nigerian Police “to ensure that justice is served and those responsible for her son’s tragic death are held accountable.”
Furthermore, he urged well-wishing Nigerians to “rally around Princess Antonia with” “thoughts and prayers, seeking comfort and strength for her in this darkest hour.
“May God’s grace and mercy be upon her and her family.”
Chronicle NG reports that Timileyin, a student, was beaten to death by his colleagues for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.
However, 25 suspects were arrested by the police in connection with his tragic murder.
