Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, has been accused of inciting hate against the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.

In a statement on his verified X handle on Friday, Rotimi Adeosun, a social media influencer, alleged that Obi is “just playing on people’s emotions.”

His comment comes on the heels of statements made by the former governor of Anambra state against the policies of the Tinubu-led federal government.

Mentioning that “true opposition praises and criticises appropriately,” Adeosun alleged that the Labour Party chieftain wishes Nigeria “fails.”

Adeosun’s statement reads, “Truth be told, Peter Obi isn’t playing opposition, but just playing on people’s emotions to incite hate against this administration.

“A true opposition praises and criticises appropriately, not just wishes the country failed. Nigeria shall succeed; God bless Nigeria.”
