A social media influencer has berated men over the prevalence of paternity fraud cases in Nigeria.

In a statement on X on Tuesday, an influencer, simply identified as Dunmininu, alleged that men should be blamed for sleeping with married women.

Her statement comes on the heels of calls from various quarters urging men to conduct DNA tests to determine if the children they’re raising are theirs.

Speaking on the issue, Dunmininu noted that “all these young boys will blame women for” DNA fraud, “but y’all are sleeping with people’s wives.”

She pointed out that extramarital affairs would reduce when men stop patronizing married women.

Her statement reads, “Paternity fraud should be blamed on men; why will you, as a man, be sleeping with a married woman?

“You know she was married, but you were sleeping with her. All these young boys will blame women for paternity fraud, but y’all are sleeping with people’s wives.

“When we start addressing the issues of men sleeping with people’s wives, paternity fraud will reduce.”
