    Six men alleged to have burgled the house of former Captain of the Super Eagles, Segun Odegbami, were today arraigned before an Igbosere Chief magistrate court in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

    The accused are Oke Moses, 18, Abdul Azeez, 22, Ajibade Rahmon 24, Isaac Okenuga 29, Olusola Orisansope, 22, and Daramola Abiodun, 22 were arraigned before the court on four counts charge of stealing, conspiracy and receiving stolen properties.

    In a charge filed before the court by the Police Prosecutor, Sergent Chijioke Njoku, it was stated that the accused committed the offences between June 1 and 20, at 2:00a.m. at No.13, Saro Close, Victoria Island, Lagos.

    Two of the accused persons Oke Moses and Abdul Azeez, unlawfully broke and entered into the house of Chief Olusegun Odegbami, former Captain of the Super Eagles and stole items worth N14.1 million.

    The stolen items are iPhone 7plus valued at N490, 000, a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone valued at N150,000; two Apple laptops valued at N600,000 and a Rolex wristwatch valued at N12 million.

    Other items are a box containing some clothes and shoes valued at N500, 000 and a phone recharge cable valued at N5,000, bringing the total value of all the items stolen at N14.1 million.

    The other accused were alleged to have received the stolen goods from Oke Moses and Abdul Azeez.

    He said that the offences contravened Sections 287, 307 (b), 328 (1), and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

    The accused pleaded not guilt to all the offences.

    The presiding Magistrate, Mrs F.O. Botoku while adjourning the case till August 17 for mention granted them bail in the sum of N1 million each with two sureties each in like sum.

    The sureties must be gainfully employed, and must show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

    Born on 27 August 1952 in Abeokuta, Segun Odegbami who played all of his club football with Shooting Stars of Ibadan is a retired Nigerian footballer who played as a forward.

    During his playing days, he was nicknamed Mathematical Odegbami for his precise style of play.

    He was famous for running down the touchline with the ball to prevent opponents from getting it.

    Odegbami is regarded as one of the greatest Nigerian players of all-time.
