The Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) Ogun State Sector has verified the deaths of five persons following a deadly incident in the early hours of Sunday.
According to the report, the collision included two automobiles, causing one person to be injured while two others were retrieved unharmed.
According to Florence Okpe, the sector’s Route Commander and Public Education Officer, the probable reasons of the disaster were speed and improper overtaking on the part of the Honda automobile, which collided with the truck on the side.
The injured person was transferred to General Hospital in Ijebu-ode, and the dead were deposited at the same hospital mortuary, according to her.
Anthony Uga, Sector Commander Federal Roads Safety Corps Ogun Sector Command, described the collision as preventable if prudence was used.
He also recommended drivers to avoid making sharp turns on the motorway and instead utilise an intersection or a designated turning point. Uga expressed condolences to the deceased’ families and recommended them to contact the FRSC Ijebu-ode Command for additional information regarding the tragedy.
