The minister of solid minerals, Dele Alake, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu following his victory at the Supreme Court on Thursday, which upheld the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which upheld Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.

Alake, in a statement published on his official X handle on Thursday, noted that the Supreme Court’s verdict “is a strong validation of the mandate bestowed upon” Tinubu “by the Nigerian people.”

Alake, who noted that it is crucial for all and sundry to work in synergy to ensure the success of Tinubu’s administration, urged the opposition parties “to demonstrate good sportsmanship and extend their congratulations to the President.”

Alake, who noted that Tinubu and the ministry of solid minerals are working assiduously to ensure the aggrandizement of the sector, noted that with the implementation of the right reforms, which the administration is all about, the ministry will attract foreign and local investments, making the sector “substantial in the near future.”

His statement reads, “I congratulate HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on his triumph at the Supreme Court today.

“The affirmation of his victory by the apex court, in line with the Presidential Elections Petitions Tribunal (PEPT), is a strong validation of the mandate bestowed upon him by the Nigerian people.

“With the conclusion of electoral litigation, I urge the opposition to demonstrate good sportsmanship and extend their congratulations to the President.

“It is crucial that we all come together to revitalize the economy and deliver the promised benefits of democracy to Nigerians.

“I appeal to all Nigerians, regardless of their voting preferences in the last election, to support the administration and maintain faith in the ongoing reforms.

“Though temporary challenges may exist, we are implementing comprehensive reforms that will yield positive outcomes.

“This plan will address sector-specific challenges and attract significant local and foreign investments.

“The resulting job opportunities and increased revenue from solid minerals will be substantial in the near future.”
