Mrs. Amma Buwa, the daughter of a Member of the Borno State House of Assembly representing Ngala local government area, Hon. Bukar Abacha, was strangulated to death by unknown persons around Gidan Dembe in Maiduguri.

According to sources, the murder of Abacha’s daughter, occurred at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, when the husband was alleged to have left the compound to pray at a local mosque.

The deceased’s husband, who carried the corpse to the police station, stated that he discovered her lifeless body in their residence with her hands and legs tied behind her back and her two-year-old child wailing beside her.

The corpse was removed by the Gwange Police Division to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for an autopsy and inquiry.

A large crowd of neighbours thronged the scene to obtain a view of the occurrence, which produced anxiety and confusion at the residence of the deceased.
