Festus Keyamo, the minister of aviation, has urged Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to “come to their senses” and accept the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).

The declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is being challenged by Peter Obi and Atiku.

However, the tribunal’s decision did not go in their favour, and they suffered a huge defeat in their legal battle to unseat Tinubu on Wednesday.

And Keyamo, who has followed the president all the way, advised Atiku and Obi to “come to their senses” and embrace the current administration.

    • PEPT: Tinubu welcomes judgement, urges Obi, Atiku to rally round government

In a post on Twitter, Keyamo wrote “Today, Daniel has come to judgement: whether it is the fake US drug issue or the 25% FCT issue or the issue of IREV, every single thing some of us have always shouted ourselves hoarse about during the campaigns and post-campaigns has been proved absolutely right.

“It only reassures some of us to always stand up for what we believe in, even if it appears to be against the temporary tide! Eventually, posterity will always vindicate the just!

“Huge congratulations to @officialABAT for this judicial vindication from all the wicked lies against his person.

“Now, it is time for them to have some sense and embrace his government and national reconciliation,” he added.
