A seven-story building under construction in Lagos State’s Banana Island, Ikoyi district, has fallen.
The event occurred at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
When some of the construction workers on site had closed for the day, the structure collapsed in, according to news reports.
However, several of them were hurt as a consequence of the collapse.
Amodu Shakiri, a spokesman for the Lagos Fire and Rescue Service, verified the occurrence.
“We got a call around 3:58 p.m.,” he said. We are actively investigating the allegation that no one was killed beneath the debris.”
