The first son of Nollywood star Yul Edochie, Kambilichukwu Edochie, allegedly passed away on Thursday morning.

Two months after Edochie and his wife Mary Edochie celebrated their son’s 16th birthday, the boy passed away.

On January 4, the movie star sent a message on his verified Instagram account to honour the birthday of his first child “A very happy 16th birthday to my first son, Kambilinachukwu Leo Yul-Edochie. May God lead and protect you always. With many more happy years. Daddy loves you.”

According to a family member who talked with Vanguard and confirmed the news of his death, Kambilichukwu passed away on Thursday.

“After his exam in school, he joined his mates to play football and he developed a seizure and was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital. All efforts by the doctors to resuscitate him proved abortive,” she added.
