Standard Chartered on Friday announced that its branches in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt will be opened to customers to make naira withdrawals.
The move by the commercial bank is aimed at making the naira available to its customers, especially in Nigeria’s busiest cities.
In a terse statement to customers, the bank said, “To ease the challenges faced in relation to access to naira cash, we are pleased to inform you that our branches listed below will open over the weekend for withdrawals and deposits of naira notes,” the bank said.
Noting that Saturday 25th March 2023 -10.00 am to 3.00 pm and Sunday 26th March 2023-10.00 am to 3.00 pm are the days and hours it will open to serve customers.
Similarly, in a text message to customers, Standard Chartered said, “Dear Client, kindly note that our branches will open this Saturday and Sunday, 25th and 26th March from 9.00 am-4.00 pm for withdrawals and deposits of cash.”
