South African singer Tyla carted home the first ‘Best African Music Performance’ Grammy award following her win with ‘Water’.
Her win saw Nigerian heavyweights Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake lose in the category.
Davido was also nominated for Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance.
However, the awards were “unavailable” for the “unavailable” crooner who lost them both.
