The Lagos High Court, sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square on Lagos Island, condemned Drambi Vandi, the Assistant Superintendent of Police who murdered a Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, to death by hanging.
After finding the ASP guilty of the murder of the pregnant lawyer, Justice Ibironke Harrison condemned him.
Harrison determined that the prosecution had proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
The judge also held that the convict shot the deceased at close range.
It will be recalled that Chronicle NG reported that ASP Drambi Vandi, an officer of the Nigerian Police Force attached to Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah, Lagos State, shot Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem on Christmas Day when she was returning from a Christmas church service with her husband and other family members.
