Liverpool and Brighton have agreed a British record fee for midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The cost is thought to be approximately £110 million, with the midfielder scheduled to go to Liverpool for a medical on Friday.
Brighton set a bid deadline of midnight on Thursday, and if their appraisal was met, they would go with the highest bidder.
According to reports, Chelsea‘s willingness to pay £100m and Bayern Munich‘s £90m did not match Liverpool’s offer of £110m for the player.
The Ecuadorian who Brighton signed for £4.5 million from Independiente del Valle in 2021, will become the third-most expensive player in football history.
