President Muhammadu Buhari will leave for London, United Kingdom, later today, Wednesday, May 3rd, to join other international leaders in attendance for the coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, respectively.
According to a press publication issued by Femi Adesina, the coronation will take place on Saturday, May 6, Chronicle NG reports.
Ahead to the coronation, the Commonwealth Secretariat will use the meeting of leaders in London to convene a Commonwealth Summit for Commonwealth Presidents and Heads of Government on Friday, May 5.
President Buhari is expected to attend the Summit, which will focus on the Commonwealth’s Future and the Role of Youth.
The President will be accompanied by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj.-Gen Babagana Monguno (Rtd), the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Chairperson/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and other senior government officials.
