Parts of Borno State’s second market, Gamboru Market, were destroyed by fire on Saturday.
This comes exactly three weeks after a massive destruction of the state’s largest market, Monday Market, which is also located in the metropolis.
By 2:30 p.m., the flames had spread to the cooking oil section of the market.
Security personnel, the majority of whom are soldiers, have been deployed to the scene, chasing away a massive influx of people and denying entry to everyone.
On the phone, an eyewitness told reporters that it broke out from the timber and orange sellers sections.
