Chronicle NG reported earlier today that some unidentified persons invaded the Senate on Tuesday and took the mace away after shrugging off attempts to resist them.
“There was commotion at the Senate chamber of Nigeria’s National Assembly which got invaded by some hoodlums while plenary was ongoing and made away with the Mace,” an eyewitness told Chronicle NG.
The incident happened few seconds after a suspended senator, Ovie Omo-Agege, entered the chamber.
About 10 suspected thugs who came to the venue with the senator forced their entrance into the chamber.
